Michael D. Letourneau
Attorney
Throughout his legal career, New Orleans native Mike Letourneau has represented a broad base of clients ranging from individuals, to small businesses, to multi-national corporations. Mike enjoys a diverse practice by representing individuals suffering from personal injuries of all types, including those caused by catastrophic events, automobile accidents, doctors or hospitals, faulty products, or workplace activities, as well as by representing businesses and individuals in commercial and corporate litigation.
Prior to joining The Chopin Law Firm, Mike worked as an attorney at a preeminent New Orleans maritime defense firm. That experience prepared him to better represent injured individuals by providing insight into how large companies and insurance companies defend against injury claims. Mike has extensive trial experience, having successfully tried cases at both the trial and appellate levels. Whether the matter involves a large class action or an automobile accident, Mike has the experience to handle your case. He also has significant experience managing complex commercial litigation cases, as well as general civil litigation and employment law matters.
Mike attended Isidore Newman School and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Washington & Lee University where he graduated cum laude. Subsequently, Mike graduated cum laude from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Mike is involved in community outreach through Hogs for the Cause, a non-profit organization that raises money for pediatric brain cancer, and he also volunteers his time handling pro bono cases for those in need.
